A collection of articles about IOPT, general trauma theory, and my own observations and experiences.

Therapeutic progress
What if I said that what you are extra vigilant about, what you fortify yourself against, what you attack, what you reserve against, what you crave and desire, and what chances you take and don't take, are deeply influenced by the most challenging experiences of your life, which you don't necessarily remember or are aware of?

What is psychotrauma?
What if I said that what you are extra vigilant about, what you fortify yourself against, what you attack, what you reserve against, what you crave and desire, and what chances you take and don't take, are deeply influenced by the most challenging experiences of your life, which you don't necessarily remember or are aware of?

The Intention Method
In IoPT there is one main method that is used and it is called the Intention Method. We call the execution of the intention method a Self-Encounter. The function of the method is to activate the client's own self-healing abilities. There is no one else but the client himself who can meet and feel his own detached trauma emotions.

Resonance
Resonance is the sense used in the intention method. With this sense, people who are complete strangers to each other can intuitively feel and express the other's most painful experiences and feelings. How is that possible? You could call it intuition. Or gut feeling.

Victim-perpetrator dynamics
Victim-abuser dynamics arise and develop in cases where the victim is in a dependent relationship with the abuser and remains in a persistent community they cannot/will not leave.

Identification
Carrying identification is burdensome and can be confusing. It creates an inner friction to fully believe that you are something you are not. It is like carrying someone else's baggage without realizing it.

Addiction
Addiction in its most obvious forms carries a heavy stigma in today's society. It carries signs of weakness and bad choices. It provides good grounds for judging individuals without having to take surrounding factors into account.

Autonomy
Children who are trapped in insecure and avoidant attachment patterns are unable to find the emotional basis to trust their parents. This causes them to be very stressed internally and keep their distance. This is how their independence is triggered early.

Pseudoautonomy
Children who are trapped in insecure and avoidant attachment patterns are unable to find the emotional basis to trust their parents. This causes them to be very stressed internally and keep their distance. This is how their independence is triggered early.

The small t's
I want to take a shot at the little t's. The ones out of sight.
Unseen. Unheard. Unfelt. Neglected. Unconnected. Those who carry the trauma legacy of their parents and ancestors.
