a shout for the small t's
Big T – Big trauma
The obvious ones. The recognized ones. The ones that fill the news. Where the doors of society are open to those who want help, without being burdened by shame.
I want to take a shot at the little t's. The ones out of sight.
Unseen. Unheard. Unfelt. Neglected. Unconnected. Those who carry the trauma legacy of their parents and ancestors.
The traumas that to one degree or another concern us all. Where the dark figures rest. Those that drive their bearer to suffering and life friction without a reason understood. Without memories. Without explanation. Without their own apology. It's not that bad? It wasn't that bad? Those who are buried by shame and have their lifelong meaningless price, however invisible they may appear.
So let's kick open some doors.
So we can meet in space for recognition.
Meet someone who asks the right questions.
Someone who understands the language the body speaks.
So we can begin the journey to becoming whole again.
